5. Use the situation as an opportunity to strengthen the supplier relationship.
Instead of straining the relationship, use it as an opportunity for understanding.
Ask your supplier for a small compensation, such as a discount on the next shipment or covering part of the delay cost.
Some suppliers are willing to help if they see you as a serious, long-term partner.
6. Update your store's inventory and alert system.
If you're constantly surprised by product shortages, your inventory alert system needs updating.
Install a system that sends you an alert 10 or 15 days before your inventory runs out.
This way, you can order from your supplier well in advance and avoid future delays.
7. Consider diversifying your suppliers.
Relying on a single supplier is risky.
If you only work with one supplier, try to open a communication channel with a second or even a third, even if it's a little more expensive.
In times of crisis, an alternative supplier can save you.
8. Request partial shipments instead of full shipments.
In some cases, your supplier may be able to send you part of the order now, and the rest later.

With clear communication, smart planning, and proactive inventory management, you can avoid a lot of damage.
